Heavy-Duty Fire Hose Feel

Keep Your Crew Safer with a Heavy-Duty Fire Hose Reel from Reel Tech

Having the right heavy-duty fire hose reel can make a real difference for firefighters everywhere. Just like the fire truck and the fire hose itself, the fire hose reel is an important tool in a firefighter’s arsenal. The higher-quality the reel, the more safe and effective firefighting crews will be as they seek to battle a growing blaze. At Reel Tech, we are well-known in Australia and abroad for our fire truck hose reels and Ezi Deploy fire reel clutch system, which help to reduce fire-fighting strain injuries

The Benefits of Our Heavy-Duty Fire Hose Reel Designs

Reel Tech’s Fire Dog™ brand of fire hose reels are ideal for most firefighting applications. They are ergonomically designed, safe and easy to use, intuitive in their construction and built right here in Australia. Here are some of the benefits they can deliver for your firefighting crew:

  • They save space: The right service truck hose reel can pack a fire hose into a more compact package, reducing bulk and allowing crews to load extra gear onto their trucks.
  • They save time: Fire Dog™ hose reels are extremely easy to operate, which means less time for your crew to get the fire hose unwound and set up after arriving at the scene of a fire. This time saving can reduce the amount of fire damage and even save lives.
  • They save steps: Reel Tech stocks an exclusive range of fire hose reels that don’t require draining, stacking or dragging of your fire hoses. These reels save steps before and after application, making life easier for everyone on your crew.

    Hydraulic Requirements

It is important that the end-user provide Hannay Reels with complete specifications as to the required operation of the large diameter reel being specified. Any speed and torque requirements MUST be known to properly specify the correct reel for the application. Hannay Reels does not recommend specific brands for hydraulic system components. We suggest you work with your hydraulic component supplier to meet your specs.

    Custom Reels

The standard models listed represent the most frequently specified customer requirements for handling large-diameter fire hose. Because of the many possible variations in reel installation and hose capacity requirements, we will also custom build reels and spools to your specifications to become an integral part of the apparatus. Reels are built of steel construction, and various finishes are available.

Important: Hose capacity is based on the flat hose dimensions listed below, with couplings at 100 foot intervals.
